Who would have thought in the 21st century some folks would be acting like we were in the dark ages? The insanity of today's environment is leaching itself into every aspect of our lives. As you keep saying we have the power to vote these people out of office. But you're not saying, do we really trust anybody these days to do the right and moral thing or do they do what suits them best?

Yes, we do have trust with some of the candidates and elected officials. To know which ones is a matter of actually paying attention to what they say when campaigning, and for incumbents, comparing that to their voting records, legislation sponsored/co-sponsored, and how they vote in the committees on which they serve.

Most voters cannot even NAME their Senators, House rep, State Senator and State Rep, much less their municipal and county officials.

Now that der Fuehrer and Worm Brain have done what could to deplete the vulnerable population and destroy the nation's Health Care System, can't wait to see what the former will do today to try to destroy the World economy.

Nonetheless, yesterday's election results give us cause to hope that the GOP will begin to turn.

Lots of elections this year -- and hopefully the incumbent Rethuglicans will get it through their addled-brained thick skulls that their worry should NOT be being primaried from the right, but outright losing to a Democratic candidate next year. They all should grow spines.

That idiot Vern Buchanan was on a Politico program today (it's in DC, but they always have a video link so we can all watch) -- and he said that he didn't want to cut Medicaid, and didn't think they'd have to because (wait for it) "just the sheer amount of fraud and abuse will cover what we need to cut" -- MORON!!!
