It is insane. I remember getting two sugar cubes -- a couple weeks apart, in school, I think 1st grade -- with the polio vaccine. No notes home, no excuses....we were told to line up, and go to the auditorium, so we did....when our parents found out, I'm guessing that they ALL were so glad their kids were protected since every last one of them had either had polio or knew someone who did.
