"Them were the days my friend. We thought they'd never end." Yet, we live longer and more productive than ever before. True, all too many of our office holders have aged out and don't belong there, all too many of them leading MAHA.

There are a lot of young "influencers" in the MAHA movement -- you read about them and end up confused about why anyone would listen to them as they lack education, knowledge and any amount of smarts. It's terrifying.

You made me laugh this morning! I remember the chicken fat song from school. What a memory!

Thank you for the reference to chicken fat. I LOVED that and when my girlfriends from elementary gather, we reminisce over the fun times! Remember gym uniforms? We all graduated in 1977 from S-F and have been friends ever since.

I hope your husband is doing as best as can be expected and if you need anything, please ask! Many of us will rally behind you.

Stay strong!

OMG gym suits!!! Ours were one piece blue things that snapped up the front -- short sleeves that were too long, and horrible shorts length -- they let us sew in elastic so they didn't come down to our knees! I remember! EEWWW!!!

People keep offering to go to the store, and I'm not disorganized, but between working my regular job and scheduling the home nurses, PT, OT, chemo treatments, etc., whenever someone calls and says "I'm going to the Wegmans, do you need anything?" I blank. BUT my sister in law had a great idea, so I ordered these magnetic paper list things -- I'm going to put the on the fridge, one for Trader Joes, one for the Wegmans and one for the Costco, and then WRITE ON THEM! So I'll be able to check. That's going to make things much easier!

I am guessing few kids could do that full exercise song today. Of course sit ups are a no go today. They are very bad for the back. I would replace with a plank. Otherwise that would be a great routine.

Even sit ups when you bend you knees? I really did do 10 today.

I sucked at "gym" and was the proverbial last kid picked for any team. But "Go you Chicken Fat Go Away!" was AWESOME, and I bet I can still sing the whole song right now. It was so much fun and even a Klutz like me could do it. Thank you for that fun memory! The rest of your post was spot on, too. And so glad you were able to get a teeny break. Happy Memorial Day!

Once you get that song in your head, you never forget it! Happy Memorial Day to you, too! Hope all is well. I think of you every time I feel guilty for all that you and the whole crew are doing to make sure people are out in the streets and contacting reps, and so on....I am sorry I can't partake or be helpful, but I lack the bandwidth, and so I'm really glad there are folks like you doing it all.

It's a tag team or chorus. We all need to take a breath sometimes and let the others carry the load. You absolutely do a TON. Don't feel a speck of guilt or regret. We're fighting for the right to live our lives, and life is demanding your care and attention right now.
