I think I need to make another donation to the ACLU.

An excellent choice. And thanks for an idea -- there are several major groups already involved in legal actions (in addition to the states and cities) -- I'll publish a list so people know who is suing over what.

While on the subject of EOs, the media relates that among the EOs voiding those of Pres. Biden is one that prevents to reduce prescription drug prices. Do you know which of these 100 some odd EOs does that and what it actually provides. As example, does it interfere with the current program requiring Medicare to negotiate reduction of vendors' prices for 10 separate meds each calendar year?

Check out tomorrow’s post. They haven’t gotten to the negotiated prices YET.

Thank you for the info. Nice to get facts rather than talking heads and space limited media reporting.

Thanks. I'm hoping that more and more people will start hearing/seeing the truth. It's so critical!

As you read the EOs, has he actually suspended or eliminated asylum for currently resident immigrants as well as for non resident applicants? And what if anything has he done about his promise to fire all the immigration judges?

This is the "beauty" of it. It's amorphous. For example, there's an EO rescinding humanitarian parole which impacts humans from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua and Venezuela but it's not spelled out what happens to the half million people who are here under that program.

He fired the top of the food chain regarding immigration judges - all civil service -- chief immigration judge, Sheila McNulty; acting director of the Executive Office of Immigration Review, Mary Cheng; office's general counsel, Jill Anderson; and head of policy, Lauren Alder Reid. He hasn't gotten to the lumpen proletariat yet. But it's early. He needs political appointees to fill the positions, and he's having some trouble with that.

So far, they've stopped the app that allowed people staying in Mexico to get appointments with ICE, and they've basically blocked the border. From what I've read, they postponed the Chicago raids since too much information was disseminated, but they'll certainly raid, especially with the EOs related to churches, schools and hospitals no longer being sanctuaries.

I have more EOs on tap for tomorrow morning...and I'll keep up as best I can.

I can't click the little heart button on this, nor on so many of the posts on bluesky. There needs to be a button that says, "I totally agree with you AND it sucks!"

It's likely your browser. Both Bluesky and Substack, in my experience, work poorly on Firefox, but fine on Edge and Duck Duck Go. I don't know about the other browsers. Thanks for your concurrence!
