Politifact doesn’t agree with the issues you’ve mentioned. Are you sure? I’ve called and emailed against it but would like assurance: Bipartison Policy Center…

You'd need to be more specific. I put in a link to the bill - and I've read it, and stand by my analysis. Please let me know what you directly question, and show me where it is unclear in the bill itself.

Under the SAVE Act, "if you are a woman that has changed your name from your birth certificate, let's say through marriage ---you are no longer eligible to vote." Politifact called this mostly false

The proof is in the bill

When I try to cut and paste the relevant sections, it doesn't paste correctly, but you want Section 2, which lays out what you can use for ID. If your married name is on your passport, you're okay. But if you don't have a passport, you will need a birth certificate, and that will be your name at birth, not your married name, nor your hyphenated name.

You can read a full analysis by the Brennan Center here: https://www.scribd.com/document/354176622/The-Effects-of-Requiring-Documentary-Proof-of-Citizenship#fullscreen&from_embed

If you read section 2, and the Brennan Center report, you'll see that there are all sorts of problems proving who someone is, especially if their name has changed.

Politifact is good, but they are not infallible.

No idea where my birth certificate is. Somewhere with my first name change papers are. I am so screwed! A few years back the Army changed their computer system and somehow I became a male! It’s been good for a laugh but suddenly has become serious. I was born female and will always be such. Tried to change it 2 days ago but they want the papers. Have my son’s birth certificate stating I’m his mother but that didn’t work. Have 2 sets of discharge forms but each is in a different name. Opened my PTSD newsletter this a.m. and all links have been removed? My passport was retained by the Army due to security rating. I could go on but needless to say I have been indeed deeply affected by the current regime. I now may even loose my income! Having fun yet?
