Perhaps, but I don't think you are reading the social media that most of these undecided watch, and they are undecided because that precisely is the social media that they follow.

My biggest quarrel with last night's debate prep and the Harris-Walz campaign in general is their failure to point out in simple memes, clarions, etc., some of the very important things that that the Biden-Harris administration was able to accomplish even with a divided Congress and how much more the Harris-Walz administration will be able to accomplish with the Democratic majority Congress that the voters should provide.

You may be correct -- but I don't think any harm was done. I read that Walz is going to increase his campaign stops, plus do a bunch of interviews - including late night - so maybe that will help.

That's my point. The clips available, at their best, will favor the deceiver Vance rather than Walz in the social media pieces viewed by the undecided on social media. Also, at no point did he come across as the kindly uncle and soft spoken coach---he seemingly left that all so welcome image at home in his struggling effort to be a debater. He apparently spent a lot of time at debate prep but I respectfully suggest it was misdirected.

The clips I've been seeing are almost ALL about Vance's inability to admit Trump lost in 2020. It's even a new Harris-Walz ad playing in the swing states. And what I've been reading from the focus groups is that THAT ONE IDIOT ANSWER made a lot of them question whether they could trust the veracity of everything else Vance said.

I didn't watch - nor will I seek out the sound-bites. I have an implanted cardiac loop-recorder and don't want it to short-circuit.

As an aside... I was on my Jr High 9th grade debate team. It's tough - really tough. (Although they were actual debates back in those dark ages.) It's easy to get flustered. I'm not putting any credence into last night - just as I don't put any into 'undecided voters'.

People know who they are voting for. This is now nothing but a media circus spewing innuendo and hype to sell ads.

Kamala will win and we will take back the House and the Senate.

I have spoken!

I remember actual debates -- and it IS easy to get flustered, and confused, and even forget your own name. (At least that was my experience.)

I believe there ARE undecided voters. I have met some of them. Mostly, they're undecided about whether they WILL vote, but I have spent time HERE IN PA with people who lack clarity about the differences between the two tickets. (You have NO IDEA how much I wish I were making this up.) For example, my dermatologist who took a chunk out of my leg last week WILL vote, hates Trump, and still can't see a reason to vote Harris. Sadly for her, I'll be seeing her next week to get my stitches out.

And I hope you're right about the outcome.

Of course I'm right!

And I do get those who can't see the difference between Democrats and Republicans. My "Progressive" younger relatives who see both parties in bed with Big Business, Gaza, homelessness - oops - 'unhoused' - drugs, the criminal in-justice system, ad nauseam. Add, to a degree, they have a point. What they don't see are the very stark differences and the very real danger the MAGA Republicans represent.

They don't understand politics and the give-and-take necessary to get anything done. They're growing up with extremists on both sides who make the headlines and condemning anyone who compromises.

We're still gonna win.

From your lips to every polling place in America. Here, we're just continuing to WORK!!! (just in case...)

I disagree. I thought Walz missed a great opportunity to explain the real data and circumstance of the economy and immigration during the current administration vs. that of the former administration constantly promoted by the GOP.

Any of my grandchildren could have done a better job. And he certainly didn't come across as the kindly Uncle or Coach.

I agree that he missed opportunities. I believe that when he said he was a bad debater, he was telling the truth. But it actually doesn't matter what people like you and I think - we're committed. The question is what that last sliver of undecideds will do - and for the most part, they didn't watch, they'll only see clips and social media.

Thanks for watching & reporting. I couldn’t. I’m a hot mess of worry about it already.

NEVER WORRY!!! Take that energy and WORK! (You can't hear my intonation, but I'm not being mean -- just encouraging!)

My grandmother was a professional worrier. She only worried for herself on Tuesdays. The rest of the week, she took in worries for others. (She took off Saturday for the Sabbath.) So I genetically know something about worrying. I find I ONLY worry about things I cannot control. So I, and you, cannot control the outcome of the election. It's not on us. But we CAN do what we can to get voters to where they need to be. That's all we can do, because we don't want to wake up wishing we'd done more.

Make your candy labels -- it will make you feel better!
