So... I was at one of the the local Safeway's, yesterday... (I normally try and avoid them because they're the most expensive, understaffed, and understocked stores in the area.) I was in the area dropping off a light fixture to be returned at the local FedEx store and the WinCo I normally shop at was across town.

ANYWAY... to make a short story longer... I was wearing my Old Hippies for Kamala t-shirt as I pushed my cart through the store. It was a Thursday, just before noon, and the clientele looked like mostly angry old white guys with their sad looking wives. It was weird.

I got a few nasty glares directed towards me, but I had a big smile on my face as I perused the aisles. I also got a few half-smiles from a couple of wives - which made me smile even more - and then, by the Bakery Section, some younger folks - mid 50s - said they loved the shirt and where did I get it! I had made over my old TahoeT web site when Harris announced, so I gave them the link: https://www.tahoet.com/ .

My cashier commented that he really liked my shirt, as well.

In other news... our Harris/Wals signs were stolen from out front yard and some ass had set fire to some ballot drop boxes out here. The FBI is on it and methinks the guy is toast.

Fortunately, we have a great system in Oregon! Every ballot is traceable, so folks who used the boxes can see if theirs has been received and, if not, can request a new one. The system can sign us up to receive a text or an email when our ballots arrive letting us know they will be counted.n Ours were!

GREAT WORK!!!! YAY!!!

I'd heard about the ballot burner -- I believe they know who he is, and he's DONE. They caught the guy in Arizona. Damn Rethuglicans.

I saw on Twitter that someone kept getting his signs stolen, so he used his lawnmower and now his lawn says "Harris-Walz".

You are a one woman campaign machine. So proud of you. Incidentally, in the Socrates Café open forum that I hosted last night, most of the participants by far belied Harris-Walz will win. On the flip side, many feel that violence will follow.

I have a good feeling about Harris-Walz winning AND that we get the House back. And yes, I expect violence -- not on 6 Jan at the count, but rather state-by-state, county-by-county related to the certification and potentially even the first count prior to certification.

It's not so much that I'm a campaign machine, it's actually that it's an ingrained automatic state of being. I CANNOT HELP MYSELF. I check on voters with the regularity that I drink coffee.

This morning I had to go to the doctor. (I'm okay). So, when I was checking in, I spent 15 minutes (I'd arrive early just in case) with the ladies at the check-in station making sure everyone was set for Tuesday, whether they had plans, etc. I checked with the nurse and doc in the exam room. And then, when I was checking out, the printer was broken, so it took a while - and there was a woman in line behind me -- we discussed the election, and she asked if I ask EVERYONE about their voting plans. When I said yes, she asked why - and I explained that you never knew who might need help. I told her about the girl at the WaWa the other day -- she was on 18, and it was her first time. The woman committed to talking about the election with everyone she sees between now and Tuesday and getting her friends to do the same.

Like a communicable disease, I am.
