If you have Netflix, the funniest show ever is Derry Girls. And surely with your interest I government, you've watched every episode of Parks and Rec.

I don't have Netflix. And it's a funny thing about Parks and Rec -- it was recommended to me several years ago, and I watched the first several episodes, and just couldn't get into it. I've been told to stick it out, that it gets better as it moves forward. THANKS for the suggestions!

Everyone needs to sit back and laugh a little before the constant turmoil wears one down. We have a long way to go and 24 hour days on the battlefield diminishes striking power, no matter the dedicated force in the field.

For a real good get away laugh interval, try Dave Allen, a stand up comic like no other, on You Tube. Well worth what evertime you give him.

I spent a lot of time on the Harvard campus when I worked at The Charles Hotel in Harvard Square. The Widener Library is fascinating (I LOVE libraries) and the grounds are unbelievably fun to wander through. The Coop was a fun place to find 1980s preppy clothes and across the street, The Wursthaus and their legendary Beer List was.. well... legendary. And Charlie's Kitchen still makes one of the best Double Cheeseburgers on the planet!

Our TV channel of choice is BritBox. From Death in Paradise and Father Brown to the hilarious Panel Shows - saying things on television that would NEVER be on broadcast TV here - the entire Are You Being Served... One Foot in the Grave is hysterical, and there's tons of history, travel, Agatha Christie... It's totally worth the subscription!

I studied one summer at Boston U, and took one course there, and one at MIT -- and had the benefit of doing ALL sorts of educational things on those campuses, and spent a lot of time at Harvard Yard "hanging out" --- and I LOVED the Coop. I continued to shop there after I moved to NH after college.

Ice cream was also a thing back then -- starting with Steve's of Sommerville (the first place that did mix-ins) and then spreading throughout the Boston region.

I don't have Brit Box, and I often need subtitles with British fare as I struggle with the accents. But I'll check it out! THANKS!

We have been watching Abbott Elementary for some lighthearted humor in these dark times. Being a retired teacher, it resonates with me.

You know, I watched the first season, and laughed straight through it. I don't know why I stopped watching it....hhmmnn....but I'll definitely check out the later seasons since it's on Hulu and I have Hulu. What did you teach?

29 of my 30 years in the West Chester Area School District were spent teaching in the Gifted Program. 26 of those in the Middle School Gifted Program, PROBE, before they abolished it, and the last 3 years as the teacher of the Gjfted at Rustin when it first opened.

In PROBE I taught Creative Writing, Theater, Video Production, and Still Photography.

WOW! It takes special people to be teachers, but it takes REALLY special people to teach gifted kids. I went to school before there were specific "gifted" programs -- we had "tracking".

When I think back to the teachers I had - they had to deal with kids like me who were easily bored after we quickly absorbed the information - and that was the whole class: no middle to which to teach. Our teachers had to be creative and smarter than we were, and able to design lessons that would keep us engaged. I have far too many memories of the great teachers I have fighting for space in my memory banks right now.

Teachers like you were instrumental in shaping the kind of kid I was. THANK YOU for your contribution to the next generation... it's something that really matters.

The first season of Parks and Rec wasn't great - but the rest were wonderful.
