It’s Friday afternoon.
Did you eat anything today?
There are a lot of people who didn’t, because there isn’t any food at their house. Often, they are children who are food insecure beyond a school lunch or breakfast.
The Martin Luther King Day of Service is coming up on Monday, 20 January. I’m a member of Indivisible Chester County (ICC), and we are part of the national Indivisible "Help over Hate" program in service to our local community.
Our event is a food drive for the Chester County Food Bank. If you are local, and would like to drop off food donations, please join us on the 20th from 7 pm to 9 pm at World of Beer in Exton. We will be providing finger foods, so please RSVP at this link so we order enough! This link details the most needed food and non-food items.
If you can't make the drop-off, you can donate money directly to the Chester County Food Bank (it's tax deductible) at this link.
Thanks in advance for your participation. Too many people are hungry.
The ICC goals for 2025 are: Take Action, Build Purpose and Create Change.
