IMPORTANT ACTION ITEMS FOR TODAY

Each and every one of us needs to call our Senators today. If you haven’t seen it, this is Caroline Kennedy’s speech to the Senate about her cousin.

Worm brain will be in front of the Finance Committee today, HELP Committee tomorrow, and if he passes muster, on to a floor vote.

If your Senator (OF EITHER PARTY) is on either committee (links above) CALL THEM, cite at least one of her points from her remarks, and ask them to reject him at the committee level. If you live in Louisiana, Kentucky or Kansas, your Senator on the HELP committee is a DOCTOR, and you can remind them of that: HHS needs a medical professional, not a predator.

If you don’t have a Senator on either committee, you need to call your Senators and tell them that if he gets out of committee, they must vote against him.

In addition, tell your Senators that they must NOT confirm Russ Vought for OMB, because he will do everything he can to cut funding.

Also, call your Representative, phone number list here, and remind your MoC that the purse strings belong to CONGRESS and not the Executive Branch. They must maintain their control: the fascist regime has no legal right to cut off allocated funding.

Object to funding cuts to (nowhere near the full list):

• Medicaid

• Meals on Wheels

• WIC

• SNAP

• Fire Departments (Phoenix already complained about this yesterday)

• Medical grants

• Housing assistance

• Veterans’ health care

Even though the courts have paused the memo, Congress still needs to act.

And finally - if you work for the Federal government, you received a letter offering you the opportunity to resign. DO NOT RESIGN. Make them fire you, and then sue them. It’s a scam anyway - they’ll never actually pay you.
