I have a couple political things to share. You may remember that I highlighted Rod Blagojevich back on Valentine’s Day. Well, he didn’t get to be Ambassador to Serbia as he wanted. But he’s on the comeback trail - he’s been making noises about running for the US Senate next year. YES! Remember he tried to sell the other Senate seat! His problems? First, he’s banned from running for Illinois office, but it appears that because Shitler pardoned him, he can probably run for Federal office. Source.
Second problem? He’s unsure if he’ll run as a Democrat or a Republican. Breitbart reports he might run as a MAGA Republican. But who knows? There’s chatter on both sides.
And while we’re on the subject of criminals, we all know that George Santos is going to jail. Bob Ney has some advice for him. You should read the link, it’s actually quite charming.
I have a lot to say about the imbroglio that is the “big, beautiful, bill”. It’s Thursday late afternoon as I write this, and the House is still screwing around. Someone ought to tell them that all they need to do is let all the 2017 tax cuts expire, leave other things about where they are, and the debt will go down. But hey, what do I know? I’m just a blonde girl.
Finally — thank you to everyone who has offered help about my husband’s health challenges. I appreciate the offers more than words can say. So many people have been so very kind.
My husband is a very private person, who eschews all forms of social media (although he does read my Substack <grin>) so I don’t want to give a lot of details. Just know he’s home from the hospital, resting comfortably, following doctors’ orders, and will be starting treatment soon. Dealing with doctors, other providers, insurance is a real hassle, but I think everything will calm down once the “pre-work” is completed.
People have asked me how I am holding up. I’m putting one foot in front of the other and soldiering through. I know I’m a little off my game because I was at the Wegmans today picking up a scrip and completely forgot that they sell those wonderful frosted brownies. But I’ll get back there and remember. Also, I’ve spent some time in hospital waiting rooms, and even though I thought about it, I could NOT bring myself to talk about the upcoming primary. So for those of you keeping score on how I’ve integrated politics into my very existence, EVEN I draw the line at hospital waiting rooms. All of you Pennsylvanians who didn’t vote by mail — remember to vote next Tuesday, the 20th.
I hope Ron Bagoshit GETS the runs. What a waste of air.
And one foot in front of the other, indeed! (We always say "gayly forward" instead of "straight ahead!") <g>
Hugs and kisses to both of yas!
Hang in there my friend 🤗😘🐶🐶🇺🇸
