Do You Live in the Philadelphia Area?

People’s Light is presenting an evening of Voter Engagement programs and workshops on Wednesday, 23 October. If you live in the area, I extend to you a personal invitation to attend, as I’m one of the presenters.

My part of the evening is about CIVICS!!! (And y’all know how I love Civics!). I plan to make some introductory remarks, poll the audience, provide some context about civic action and its relationship to how government works (or doesn’t), and spend most of the time with an interactive activity (that means audience participation!) which will provide people with an opportunity to consider how they would react in a local situation, drawn from real life.

The evening is free (and there’s free parking) and you can attend all or some of the sessions. Early registration is requested.
